These items are one-offs and it is important for the business to first ascertain with their customers if the product is readily available as they are also sold through other portals. A pre-order solution for “Add to cart” without requesting payment until the item is confirmed available was implemented as a solution for our client. This allows the customer to follow the same process as a conventional e-commerce online store so that their data is captured through a secure connection ready for payment if the product is available. If available, the customer receives an email to confirm and is directed to the secure payment gateway to complete the order.
